Cylindrical Roller Bearings
Cylindrical roller bearings are available in many designs, dimension series and sizes. The majority are single row bearings with a cage, however double row full complement bearings (without cage) and multi-row cylindrical roller bearings are available.
Bearings with a cage can accommodate heavy radial loads and operate at high speeds. Full complement bearings are suitable for very heavy radial loads at moderate speeds.
- Suitable for high radial loads
- Suitable for high speed operation
- Highly rigid
- Standard: DIN 616, DIN 5412 (part 1)
- Single-row design variants: N, NJ, NU and NUP
- Double-row design variants: NN and NNU
- Cage variants: brass (M6, MA6) and polyamide (TVP3)
Single Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings
The rollers in a single row cylindrical roller bearing are always guided between the integral "open" flanges on one of the rings. These "open" flanges combined with the specially designed and surface treated roller ends, provide improved lubrication, reduced friction and consequently lower operating temperature.
Double Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings
Double row cylindrical roller bearings have a low cross section, high load carrying capacity and high stiffness. Therefore they are mainly used in machine tools, rolling mill stands, plastic calenders, grinding mills and also large gearboxes.
